HOPKINS PRINTING ADDS NEW FOLDER

COLUMBUS, OH (Sept. 11, 2015) –
Hopkins Printing just expanded its printing and folding capabilities to include a new, state of the art folder on the manufacturing floor. The addition of the Heidelberg Stahl folder KH-82 has many benefits including greater folding flexibility, intelligent automation, and increased productivity.

Stahlfolder

The Stahl folder’s unique features make it the best fit for providing the quality Hopkins’ customers expect with every order. The airstream table on the folder allows precise sheet alignment without using roller balls, eliminating the threat of markings. The modular control concept allows for greater machine control and easier setup.

“Hopkins Printing did not replace any folders with this purchase, but instead is investing in the future to remain a strong and innovative printing company for years to come.” Roy Waterhouse, president.

Top Workplace 2013

Hopkins Printing Named Top Workplace

For Immediate Release

HOPKINS PRINTING NAMED TOP WORKPLACE

Top Workplace 2013COLUMBUS, OHIO (April 24, 2013) “Columbus CEO Magazine and WBNS-10TV partnered with WorplaceDynamics LLP to identify the top places to work in Central Ohio.  Hopkins Printing fit the bill, and was ranked in the top 25 amongst small “organizations with 124 or fewer employees.|

WorkplaceDynamics LLP, a firm specializing in workplace research, invited 803 companies to participate in a rigorous selection process which involved statistical analysis, employee surveys, and reporting on stringent workplace standards.  Hopkins Printing founder and CEO, Jim Hopkins commented on what this award represents.  “This was a widespread search for the best workplaces in Central Ohio.  Being recognized as the 24th best small organization was quite an honor.  We were pleased to be in the company of many other fine businesses, including several of our customers.”

Michelle Waterhouse, Director of Human Resources at Hopkins Printing, told us: “Being a manufacturer was a concern for us because we don’t often have the opportunity to offer the same types of perks and fun activities as a service organization.  The all- employee survey was an avenue to receive both positive and negative feedback on our total employment package.  This recognition was icing on the cake!”

Hopkins’™ 102 employees were represented at the awards ceremony by four of their fellow co-workers at COSI last Thursday evening.  Being an ESOP, all employees share in the success of this honor.

The May issue of Columbus C.E.O. Magazine has a complete list of all winning companies and is on newsstands now.

Hopkins€™ Health Fair also included several options to improve financial health and knowledge.  Vendors set up booths and shared information on the importance of living both a healthy physical and financial lifestyle.  In addition, representatives from Costco, New Balance, Body by Vi, Comfort Keepers, AGLA and Ohio Health handed out coupons, samples and information on their products and services.

This combination of new equipment will enable Hopkins to produce top-of-the-line wide format work for their entire customer base.

Hopkins is pleased to welcome Mike Barrett to the team.  Mike will be managing the additional space and wide format equipment.  Mike describes his career as starting at the bottom in 1988 and working his way up while learning our trade.  Over the past 18 years, he has managed wide format divisions for two separate graphics companies in Central Ohio.  Our customers will recognize his knowledge and creative expertise as we move into this new market.
